Kidney stones are abnormal solid particles found within the urine in the kidneys. They vary in size and colour and form from chemicals in the urine — they are unrelated to gallstones. Dehydration increases the risk, particularly overnight when urine becomes more concentrated.
The best way to detect kidney stones is through a CT scan. Follow-up may include abdominal X-rays. Ultrasound can show obstructions but is less reliable. Blood tests assess kidney function and identify stone causes, while 24-hour urine tests help pinpoint underlying causes.
We offer a strong reputation for expert care, advanced medical technology and comprehensive services — with patient-centred treatment, convenient access and a commitment to positive outcomes.
Symptoms include changes in urine appearance (cloudy, foamy or dark urine), blood in the urine (hematuria) and leg puffiness. Additional signs include back pain, fatigue, appetite loss, nausea, difficulty sleeping and headaches potentially related to high blood pressure.
We provide minimally invasive procedures like UroLift and Rezūm for enlarged prostate, prostate brachytherapy for localised prostate cancer, and surgical interventions such as TURP for prostate issues.
We prioritise efficiency — minimising wait times and connecting patients to specialists without unnecessary delays, while providing comprehensive testing and treatment options.
